Montalcino Wine Tour - CODE: WFMONTA01
Montalcino has several types of soil: the lowest areas are made up of relatively loose soils, while as one moves up, the soil becomes dense with rock formations. In addition, the presence on the territory of slopes with differing orientation determines quite varied microclimates. The result of such a complex terroir is a wine that is a symbol of the finest Made in Italy: Brunello. Brunello di Montalcino is a visibly brilliant wine with a bright garnet colour. It has an intense perfume, an elegant harmonious body, vigorous and racy. A wine that can be aged for a long time, improving as the years go by.
Discover different expressions of Montalcino terroir by visiting two wineries from two different subzones of the area. Enjoy a delicious light lunch at one of the wineries. Take a stroll in the town of Montalcino and admire breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside from the ancient fortress. Then, stop over at Sant'Antimo Abbey and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Val d’Orcia.
