Arezzo Antiques & Handicraft Tour - TRIP CODE: ACAR01

On the first Sunday of the month and the previous Saturday the historical center of the town turns into a spectacular outdoor market, with invaluable antique furniture and precious items for the most demanding collectors. The antique fair takes place in the heart of Arezzo every month since 1968: it hosts about 500 exhibitors and 100 antique shops in the historic center. The high quality of the exhibitors has brought the fair of Arezzo to be one of the best known and esteemed in Italy and an unmissable appointment for all enthusiasts and collectors, but also for those curious to discover our culture through the quality craftsmanship.

Enjoy a guided walking tour of Arezzo with focus on the restoration and sale of antiques. Explore the stalls of the monthly market where you can find the most disparate objects: furnishings, paintings, special and original objects, as well as books, prints, scientific instruments, archaeological finds, watches and jewels, silverware and much much more. It is also a great opportunity to discover the latest trends of vintage and modernity!

In the afternoon, move to a small village of the countryside to visit a leather artisan workshop and discover how craft shoes are made. Learn how to create your own pair of shoes following the traditional rules of the “Made in Italy” from an expert craftsman. The learning process includes explanations on how to take foot measurements, drawing the patterns, cutting and sewing of the leather, but also some practical training! If you wish, once the shoemaking experience is concluded, the artisan can complete your shoes and send to your home.
