Have a guided walk in Valdarno starting from Ponte Buriano, a romantic bridge built in the second half of the 13th century and made famous by Leonardo da Vinci in the background of his Mona Lisa. 

Follow the course of the river Arno, which becomes wider and forms the Penna reservoir. The vegetal landscape is made of downy oaks, shrub bushes, large reeds, agricultural fields, and of a large marshy area in the eastern part of the Nature Reserve. 

Unexpected treasures are hidden: wild and shady banks crossed by porcupines, badgers, roe deer and small rodents, deep gorges and waterfalls, the ruins of an ancient castle, and a small medieval town emblem of world peace. You can also see rare waterfowl between the canebrakes and relish the charming atmosphere of the Nature Reserve, which stretches for about 7 km of length.

Trail: about 9 Km. 
Difficulty: easy (minimum practice required)

Experience available in spring and autumn.

Hiking shoes, rain jacket, suitable clothes, backpack, water, binoculars are recommended.
Excursion with binoculars in the mild light of the afternoon highly recommended!
